Travel Documents & Arrival
US and Canadian citizens are issued visas at the Beirut International Airport for a fee of $35.00 US dollars. Visas issued at the airport are good for one month and may be renewed for an additional two months. We recommend that you obtain a visa from the port of entry upon your arrival. You may however obtain a visa from a Lebanese embassy abroad but the process is long so start early. If you obtain a visa at the port of entry for one month, the school will renew it for you for an additional two months.
If you are planning on leaving Lebanon to visit other countries in the Middle East and return to Lebanon you need to obtain a multiple entry Visa.
Passports must be valid for three months beyond intended stay. Prepare to arrive a couple of days before the session starts and depart within a couple of days after session ends so you don't incur unnecessary expenses.
All arrivals to LSA will be received at the airport by one of the school staff. A staff member will accompany students from the port of entry to the school premises. The same is true for departure time, a staff member will transport students back to the airport.
Students coming from the United States should be aware that the State Department has a travel warning to Lebanon. Despite the warning last summer over 150.000 people from the US visited Lebanon.
