The weather in June, July, and August is warm and comfortable in Hammana. Only summer clothes are needed with a light jacket or sweater. Formal attire (though not required) may be needed should you decide to attend formal functions.
Hammana has a couple of internet coffee houses. You will however find your own laptop handy and convenient.
Budget a few dollars every day for your evening meals and other entertainment expenses. Most businesses in Lebanon honor credit cards (Visa & Mastercard). ATM machines are found all over the place.
Your cell phone may not work in Lebanon unless it has an international feature. Roaming however is very expensive - almost $4.00 a minute. Should you need a cell phone while in Lebanon, you may buy it used or new with a prepaid sim card. It costs in the area of $150.00 - $200.00.
For medical or health care, there is a hospital in Hammana as well as few clinics and a dozen private doctors. Inquire from your home insurance about overseas coverage. Should your health insurance policy does not cover you while in Lebanon, you may purchase a ten week medical coverage in Lebanon for a premium of $400.00. Inform the director if you intend to purchase medical coverage.
Electricity in Lebanon is 220 Volts. If you bring electronics make sure its input is 220 or above. Otherwise, bring a tranformer with you from 110V to 220V.
