Welcome to Lebanon School of Arabic. Summer 2010 schedule includes a Six-Week immersion session offering three levels of MSA and one level of Lebanese colloquial. The school also offers private instruction and tutoring with a schedule that suits your needs and length of stay.

Elementary Arabic AR01 | For students with no previous knowledge of Arabic. The course begins with learning the Arabic alphabet, then progresses into learning basic communication skills. The material is theme based. Topics include family and friends, schools and universities, recreation and travel, health and sports, shopping and markets. | 8 credits |
Intermediate Arabic AR02 | For students who have completed the Elementary level. The material is theme based. Topics include music and entertainment, fetivals and celebrations, occupations and work, art and literature, media and news, technology and industry, history and geography, war and peace. | 8 credits |
Advanced Arabic AR03 | For students who have completed the Intermediate level. Topics include sects and denominations, political movements and nationalism, comparative cultures, government, people and society. | 8 credits |
| Lebanese Colloquial LC01 | For students interested in learning spoken Lebanese also known as Laventine Arabic. In this course you will learn a variety of topics deemed essential for basic conversations. Topics include greetings and family structure, music and parties, food and shopping (the art of bargining), travel and tourism, traditions and customs, health and sports. | 4 credits |
Private Lessons | Private lessons/tutoring are offered on school premises or at your own residence. Dates, duration, and cost are arranged. We serve Beirut and Mount Lebanon. | no credit |
Classes are small and comfortable. Texts and language of instruction are in Modern Standard Arabic Except for students registered in Lebanese colloquial session texts and language of instruction will be in spoken Lebanese. Social hour conversations and dardasha time are in Lebanese colloquial. Classes are held five days a week Monday thru Friday from 9:30 - 1:30 (see daily schedule).The school welcomes high school students as well as adult students of all ages.
